I currently work for J.crew designing women’s footwear and accessories. I would describe my shapes as playful and modern, with a touch of my hand in every piece.
I have always been passionate about art. I went to High School for the Performing and Visual Arts with a concentration in Visual Art. I discovered I enjoyed working with textiles and began focusing on fiber art and soft sculpture.
I attended Pratt Institute and graduated in May 2020 with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Fashion Design and a Minor in Sustainability. In college, I wanted to use fabric in a more tactile way. I had an interest in combining art and clothing through shape, design, and texture.
This video was made my senior year at Pratt Institute for the Scholarship Donor Luncheon. I was awarded the Yunni and Maxine Pao Memorial Endowed Scholarship each year at Pratt. I am very thankful for the opportunities the scholarship has opened up for me.
In the video, I walk through the process of developing of my senior thesis collection .
